Riga Amber Cup 2026: Canada on top, just after the end of the Challenger Series

The Riga Amber Cup took place in Riga, Latvia, this weekend. The event was held at Daugava Ice Hall. Scheduled just after the end of the ISU Challenger Series, which concluded only a few days ago, the competition welcomed several top teams in both Senior and Junior.

Seniors: Les Supremes win both segments

In the Short Program, the gap at the top was minimal. Les Supremes (CAN) took first place with 83.73, ahead of Helsinki Rockettes (FIN) on 82.84. Team Skyliners (USA) completed the provisional podium with 75.90.

On the second day, Les Supremes confirmed their lead with 152.40, supported by a strong technical score of 76.28 and Program Components totalling 76.12. The top of the podium remained unchanged after the Free Skating.

Behind them, Switzerland placed two teams in the top five: Cool Dreams (175.33) ahead of Starlight Elite (172.01). United Angels (GER) finished sixth (148.54), with a 3.00 deduction in the Free Skating.

Juniors: NEXXICE Junior lead from start to finish

The Canadian team NEXXICE Junior quickly moved into first place with 73.36 after the Short Program, thanks to the best TES of the segment (41.27). Lexettes Junior (USA) followed with 64.97. DC EDGE Junior (USA) sat in third.

The next day, NEXXICE Junior opened the gap with a total of 128.70 (PCS: 68.25). The Americans from Lexettes Junior finished second, and DC EDGE Junior kept their spot on the podium despite a 1.00 deduction.

The Junior event also featured teams from Switzerland, Estonia, and Finland.
